One was the Abbas Khalifa Abu Jafar-Al-Mansur!
Had the memory of the call!
Any qasida would be memorized after hearing it once, he had a slave who was also very intelligent, he would remember any qasida after hearing it twice.
In the same way, he had a slave girl who was also endowed with intelligence.
Al-Mansoor had announced that if a poet recited such a poem to him that he had not heard before, the gold equal to the weight of the tablet or paper on which the poem is written is his!
Many poets used to reach the court for their qasidas, recited qasidas in the service of the king.
The poet could not get over the shock of being told that my slave had heard this poem. A slave who had heard the poem twice and had memorized it, would have recited it when ordered.
The poet would try to say in a low voice, "Alijah, this is purely my word." Then he would get the answer, "This poem is so common that even my maidservant knows it." It would have been taken and she would have recited Farfar Qaseeda and the poet would have been left with his mouth shut!
Many poets and writers tried to fight this battle, wrote different types of poems, but they had to eat their mouths, so the poets started feeling very ashamed and embarrassed.
When the news of the humiliation of the poets at the hands of the king reached the famous poet and scholar Abdul Malik Asmai, he decided to teach Al-Mansoor a lesson.
He wrote a qasida with rare and unfamiliar words and techniques, made his dress like a Bedouin Arab because the king knew him, and went to Al-Mansur's court.
appeared in front of Amirul Momineen and said, I have such a qasida which you have not heard before.
He began to read:
The voice of Safir al-Balbal is heart-warming
Water and poison together with poison
And you or Sidli and Siddi Wm. Wali Lee
Fikam Fikam Timni Ghazilal Aqiqili
Q. Tafta min Wajna min Lathm Ward Al-Khajl
He said, "Lalalalala, Qad Ghada Mehrul."
Al-Khooz Malat Tarbaa Min فلي هذا الرجل...
The king could not remember him.
The poor man had to remember that the slave was called, he had only heard it once.
The concubine was presented and she was also rejected.
According to the condition, Al-Mansoor said that present the tablet on which the poem is written.
Asmai said, King Salamat, I inherited a piece of marble from my father. I have carved this poem on it. And it is loaded on my camel. I am unable to carry it alone. Send your soldiers!
Four soldiers picked up this piece of marble and brought it to the service of Amirul Momineen. King Salamat was surprised and worried!
However, the equivalent of gold was paid from the treasury, said a minister when Isma'i started to leave
Amirul Momineen This poet can be none other than Asmai.
Al-Mansoor said: This action with Asami Amirul Momineen.
Asma'i replied, "O Ameerul Momineen, this is the answer to what you have shut off the right of the poets."
Al-Mansur ordered to deposit this gold back in Baitul-Mal, but Isma'i refused to comply.
Finally Asmai said that Amirul Momineen can return it only on one condition.
Al-Mansoor asked on what condition?
Asmai said that if you pay the reward to all the poets, whether it is their own speech or their copied words.
Al-Mansur accepted this condition and Asma'i deposited this gold in Baitul-Mal.
One who has little relevance to Arabic literature cannot be oblivious to this late exemplary qasida..... Take the qasida here.. Listen and listen...!!!
